China Daily reports that Kate is back in England from her promotional tour and she is reunited with Pete Doherty for “Fags and Kissesâ€. Well till we get the sales figures (Topshop has not release sales figures of the line), there is no more to report.
But, for my amusement, let me make a quick and dirty estimate (and probably incorrect) of the Kate Moss Topshop collection sales figures anyway for the US Launch.
I am going to assume that all the clothes were ordered in equal quantities (see wrong already), so I am just going to average the prices for the collection.
That gives me an average price of 39.61 pounds (I got the prices from the TopShop website)
There is some news that almost all the items (11,000) ordered by Barneys were sold.
So simple multiplication 39.61*11000= 435754.4 pounds
Given that news say that prices were doubled for American Shoppers (refer to link above), now I don’t know if they were confused conversion rate/ or prices were actually doubled. So I am going to go with the report
So multiplying it by 2 = 871508.8 pounds, in US$ this would be roughly $1,730,990 for the US Launch, not to shabby.
