Topshop Spokeswoman said that the prices reflect the transportation cost from the UK, (however, the garments are made in India, China and Mauritius, there may be some kinks in their supply chain management)
Despite the increase in price the spokesperson said that the garments were still an “amazingly†good value for Barneys.
Our bet is that US costumers are more apt to pay with credit card than shoppers across the pond. Also, the demand in the US clearly supported the price point. Almost all of the 11,000 items ordered were sold.
