New York, NY, United States (AHN) – Say it isn’t so. Some retailers are reporting that gaudy Christmas sweaters are back in vogue.
Usually regarded as a fashion faux pas, those traditional sweaters sporting reindeer with cotton ball noses, snowflakes with glitter and pictures of a jolly Santa Claus with real jingling sleigh bells are a trend among fashionistas this season and a popular theme for holiday sweaters.
It appears those chichi sweaters, proudly worn by your grandmother, are all the rage at holiday parties.
Store owners report they can’t keep them in stock and the cheery numbers have garnered a new-found respect.
Some people say the sweaters help them get in the holiday spirit. Others maintain that if they get one it better include a gift receipt.
