Baltimore, MD, United States (AHN Sports) – The Baltimore Orioles made it two wins in a row against the Cleveland Indians as four Birds sluggers came through with a homer each on their way to an 8-3 rout Sunday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The Orioles ended their regular-season series with the Indians in impressive fashion as Adam Jones, Robert Andino, Nick Markakis and Matt Wieters each homered to highlight the come-from-behind victory.
The Indians (49-44), on top of the AL-Central Standings despite the two losses, started quickly as Travis Hafner and Carlos Santana belted a solo homer each and Travis Buck added an RBI single to give their team the upper hand in the first inning.
Momentum suddenly switched in the second inning when Jones cracked a homer over the left field wall.
After two scoreless innings, the Birds took the lead on a three-run blast by Andino in the fifth inning.
The Orioles eventually broke the game open, as Markakis recorded another homer in the 6th while Andino and J.J. Hardy drove in a run each in the 7th inning.
Wieters capped the offensive onslaught on another homer in the eighth as the Orioles dealt the Indians their second straight loss (2-7 against the Indians in the season).
Hurler Mitch Atkins started on the mound for the Orioles, but his struggles prompted Birds manager Buck Showalter to replace him with Mark Hendrickson in the fourth inning.
Hendrickson went on to take the win after allowing a hit over three innings. Relief pitchers Mike Gonzalez and Jim Johnson also held the Indians without a run.
Meanwhile, Jeanmar Gomez suffered his second loss of the season after surrendering five runs and six hits over six innings.
With the win, the Orioles improved to 38-54 and will next take on AL East leader Boston Red Sox (56-36).
The Indians start their series with the Minnesota Twins with a doubleheader Monday.

Cynthia Cidre (“Cane”) wrote the pilot and will executive produce along with Michael M. Robin, who directed the show’s premiere episode.
“TNT has explored the possibility of an updated version of ‘Dallas’ for several years, but it wasn’t until we read Cynthia Cidre’s outstanding pilot script that we knew we had the foundation for a great new series,” said TNT executive vice president and head of programming Michael Wright.
“Dallas” will begin airing in the summer of 2012 on TNT.

New York City, NY, United States (Celebrity News Service) – Despite rumors that Madonna and boyfriend Brahim Zaibat’s relationship have fizzed out, the two have been spotted on a romantic weekend in Paris (the city).
According to People magazine, the 52-year-old pop superstar and her 24-year-old French break dancer crushed those rumors when they were seen arriving arm-in-arm on Friday and later enjoying a nice dinner at The Ritz’s Espadon.
After her split from Brazilian model Jesus Luz, Madonna was linked with Zaibat since last year.
It was in May when reports were claiming that the two had ended their relationship, but things appear to be on the mend.
On Saturday, Madonna was spotted at a local flea market in Paris before reuniting with Zaibat for a private dinner and dancing with Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci and model Mariacarla Boscono.
Tisci designed most of the “Beautiful Stranger” singer’s outfits during the “Sticky & Sweet” tour.
As if Madonna’s life wasn’t reported enough in the press, it looks like her life story will make it into a comic book, too.
Madonna will be part of the “Female Force” series, a 32-page biographical comic book by Bluewater Productions that will focus on the pop singer’s humble beginnings and the series of life-changing events that have made her one of the most iconic performers in history.
In a press release on Friday, Bluewater’s Vice President Jason Schultz said their goal in the comic book is to show the “little-known events” in Madonna’s life that resulted her into becoming who she is today.
“A visual medium provides perspective that is not only accessible but more relatable to the average person without losing any of the information involved.”
“Femme Force: Madonna,” which has also featured monthly series on Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and JK Rowling, will be available at comic book stores and online retailers in August for $3.99.

The newspaper reported that doctors decided to keep him overnight for observation and believe he is suffering from exhaustion.
